Spring is on the way!

I woke up to a beautiful morning today and I was inspired by something I saw.  Well the inspiration was two fold.  A few days ago, I was on facebook and a friend of mine from college, who lives in Florida, told us she saw robins in her yard.  She wanted to let her "northern" friends know that spring was coming their way.  Well low and behold, (a southern term) this morning as I was looking out my kitchen window, there was a big, beautiful, red breasted robin in my yard!  I immediately thought of my friend and her comment.  Thanks Rhonda for the inspiration!  Today's inspiration card includes a cute little robin on a branch with a few buds.  I'm thinking they are cherry blossoms, since I do live in the land of cherry trees and Washington DC has an annual cherry blossom festival.......  which, by the way, the "peak" day for cherry blossom watching has been predicted for March 27th.   You still have time to make plans.

This stamp set is SU's Spring Song which you can get for free by purchasing $50.00 worth of merchandise during our "Sale-a-bration" campaign.  Visit here to take advantage of the sale (sale ends March 31).

SU! products I used:
Punches: Modern Label Punch, Eylett border punch
Paper:  Cameo coral, Certainly celery and watercolor paper
Ink:  Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango, Real Red, Pretty in Pink

I used all of the above inks with a blender pen to do my watercoloring with.  I also used a dauber to add a little bit of color to the white circle and the sentiment so they wouldn't scream white.  It just toned it down a little and helped it blend in with the rest of the card.

So tomorrow, I have a craft project for you!  I hope you'll join me!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope spring is on your way too!

Blessings,

Terri
