Medallion Monogram

Hello everyone.  I'm here again with one of my CASEd cards from my local card store.

Here is their card with envelope:                              Here is my card:

I used the medallion stamp and embossed with white embossing powder.  I used alphabet stamps and embossed with black.  Easy as pie!

See you soon.

Blessings,
Terri

PS: For those who may want to know.  I had eye surgery last week and have not been able to  view my computer very well.  I haven't even attempted to make a card yet.  Please put me on your prayer list!  I would appreciate it very much!

Elements of Style

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you have had a wonderful weekend.  I have been enjoying mine.  This card submission is the start of three cards that I have created based on inspiration from...... dare I say.... commercial cards.  Can I get in trouble for that????  I was in my local card store the other day (heaven forbid, I was not buying cards!)  I was walking around and noticed that there were several cards that looked like Stampin' Up designs.  Hello!  Has someone been CASEing SU??   Here is my inspiration for this card:

Sorry about the image.  I was using my cell phone.  The bottom part of the image is actually the flap to the envelope.  Does this remind you of some of our fellow SCSers who decorate their envelope flaps, hmm?????
Again with the CASEing.

So, here is my card:
This card uses the new Elements of Style stamp set.  It is a beautiful set!  I am really looking forward to doing more with it!  It will be available May 1.  Put it on your list to purchase!!! It is going to be a great one to have!  I embossed the flourishes with white embossing powder and actually added the little black dots with my stampin' up black marker.  I thought it really needed a bow.....lol, and that little inset needed a sentiment! (It is embossed in black) What do you think??  I am really liking it.  And, of course, it is so much prettier in person.

Thanks for dropping by!  I hope you have a great week.  Don't forget to mark your calendars for May 1! The new mini will be out and you will want this set!  If you would like a catalog just email me let me know.  To see other SU items just click here!  Also, don't forget about the clearance rack.  Quantities are limited!

Blessings,

Terri

Stripe Madness

Hi everyone!  I decided to case another of Chat's cards.  I have to admit that sometimes casing is hard!  Especially with this one.  You might as well say that the only thing I cased was the layout and the colors.  I didn't have the same stamps nor did I have the striped paper.  Thus.... my stripe madness.  Believe it or not, I made my own striped paper!!!

This card drove me wild!  But I was determined to do it!  My card is no where as beautiful as Chat's, but you do with what you have.

Here is the recipe:
Stamps:  Garden Greetings Simply Said
Paper:  Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, Only Orange              Kiwi Kiss
Accessories:  brads, grosgrain ribbon (non-SU)

Here is her page.  I just looked at it again and her card was made in 2008!  No wonder I didn't have  what I needed.  In 2008, I didn't even know what SU was, lol!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings,

Terri

A Big Thank You!

Hi everyone!  I am back!  I just returned from Buffalo, NY.  I went to visit family and to attend a wedding shower for my nephew. He will be getting married in June.  I had a great trip up there.  I stayed with my sister-in-law and I had a wonderful time.  She was a wonderful hostess.  In fact, she was so wonderful that I made her an honorary southern belle.  Her hospitality rivaled any and all southern belles.  Thank you so much again, Julie.  Actually, I hope she doesn't look at my blog until after she gets her card in the mail.  This is the card I sent her in the mail today:

I love this card.  I actually cased this card from Splitcoast Stamper's very own Nitestamper, also known as Chat.  I love, love, love her work!  My goal is to case every card she has ever made.  It will be quite an undertaking and could take quite awhile considering the pace I'm at right now, lol!  Of course, I did change a few things.  You almost always have to.  You don't always have the same paper or ribbon or all those other little things.  Hmmm, I did notice my sentiment is a little crooked.  Arghhh!

Here is my recipe:
Paper:    So Saffron CS and DSP, Soft Suede CS
Ink:        Soft Suede, So Saffron
Stamps:  Framed with Love, Watercolor Trio, Great
               Friend
Accessories:  Half pearls, SU Polka Dot embossing folder,
                       Ribbon Originals Sherbert

I just received the stamp set Watercolor Trio (the sentiment is from this set).  It is from the new summer mini catalog and will be available on May 1.  There are some great things in the catalog.  If you would like one, contact me and I will send you one!

ALSO...... the ribbon is part of Stampin' Ups clearance and what a clearance they are having.  Most items are 60% off.  I think I bought at least one of everything!  What incredible savings.  CHECK IT OUT HERE!

Hope you are having a wonderful week and  I will try,  try being the operative word, to post cards more often!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Blessings,

Terri

Mojo 132

Hello everyone.  I am finally back.  I have many excuses for being gone, but I'm sure  you don't want to here them, hahahaha!  And.... I have finally finished this week's Mojo, hooray!  I was just so slow in making it, and until I put the bow on it (always the piece de reistance) I wasn't sure that it was even going to look good.  But, I like it!  I  think it turned out great.   What do you think?
                                                                                                  I

I had a hard time just picking out the background  colors.  I didn't have any solid paper that I thought would work with the Bella Rose DSP I had chosen, so I used Old Olive DSP.  The ribbon is Old Olive and the stamp set is Happy Moments.

AND....  OH MY GOODNESS!!   You have got to  check out the new clearance items.  You can save up to 60% on many items.  I think I bought one of almost everything myself.  CLICK HERE  to view all the wonderful items.  There is paper, ribbons, buttons, etc., etc.  Just everything!!!

I will probably still be a little slower in my posting for the next couple of months.  I am going to Buffalo to visit family and then I will be having company and then I will be going to Omaha to visit  my best friend.  Whew! (Loving it!)  So, there will definitely be a shortage of card making!  But, I will be here from time to time in between working in my yard and traveling!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Blessings,

Terri
